The Foundation

The Archibald Hope Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit Foundation. Our mission is to simplify the process for deserving international student-athletes to obtain a student visa, travel to the United States, receive a top-teir education and adapt to their new surroundings.

Our story

2002

The beginning of everything

The Archibald Hope Foundation was established in honor of the late Lynn Archibald. Coach Archibald’s life mission, as a 30-year basketball coach, recruiter, and mentor, was to impact the lives of his players. Coach Archibald was instrumental in providing opportunities for many young people from the former Yugoslavia, Australia, Europe, and Africa, as well as here in the United States to receive an education through athletics.

The Archibald Hope foundation is a non-profit 501(c)(3) public charity that provides educational opportunities in the U.S. for student-athletes from all over the world, ages 14 to 20. The foundation’s mission is to expand the outreach of providing opportunities to student-athletes to achieve their academic and athletic dreams. As a part of the foundation, students are given a chance to advance their education and become future leaders

THE PROCESS

Once their education is completed in the U.S., our students are well-equipped with the skills to contribute to the improvement of the social and economic conditions in their home countries. Many private schools in the U.S. offer financial aid to deserving students but lack the relationships and resources. The Archibald Hope Foundation bridges the gap, connecting schools with talented students who otherwise wouldn’t have this opportunity.

The Foundation offers a range of charitable services to its beneficiaries. We not only analyze and match each student-athlete with the most fitting academic and social fit, but also provide hands-on guidance throughout the student visa process. This includes obtaining and completing necessary paperwork and preparing for embassy interviews. We collaborate with ambassadors worldwide to maximize the visa approval processes.

Once the visa is granted, the Archibald Hope Foundation supports the students’ family in booking safe and convenient travel to the U.S. Upon arrival, the students are welcomed and provided essentials, such as school supplies, food, clothing, and more. Our team maintains each student’s file, ensuring records are current and I-20s are up to date. Additionally, we monitor school attendance, grades, and social needs to guarantee that each student is thriving

WE HAVE SUPPORTED OVER 30 STUDENTS

The Archibald Hope Foundation has currently assisted over 30 deserving student-athletes in obtaining college and university scholarship offers across the US. The Archibald Hope Foundation is instrumental in transforming lives by providing underprivileged youth access to quality education. The impact extends beyond just the student, positively affecting their families and communities. Where education was once a distant dream, the Archibald HOPE Foundation offers a bright future, enabling students to graduate college and return home with the knowledge, skills, and experience to make a social and economic impact.

As a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization, all donations made to the Archibald HOPE Foundation are tax-deductible. Our biggest challenge with our growing network is the increasing demand from international students seeking our assistance. Our goal is to secure donor support to help fund the education of up to 20 students each year, giving them the opportunity to pursue their academic dreams and improve their lives. Your support is greatly needed to make their dreams a reality. Your generosity will offer deserving student athletes with a quality education and start a new life with endless opportunities. Thank you for considering a donation to the Archibald Hope Foundation.
